Imperial Enchantress, from Freebooter Miniatures, sculpted by Werner Klocke.

This is Werner Klocke's Imperial Enchantress, from Freebooter Miniatures.   I bought a set of Micro Art Studio bases called Dark Temple, and I'll be using one of those for this figure.

(I've reversed the order of steps, so you can see her mostly complete at the top of the page, and just beginning at the bottom).

Hours: 19-20: Done!
I did some touchups to the base, finished painting the staff, including the gemstones, and painted the satchel on her wrist.
If you are a regular visitor at CoolMiniOrNot, here's the link to her page there, for voting.

Hours 16-18:
I did some minimal shading on the staff, added some spot highlights to the armor and her bottom lip, and worked on the base for a while.  In the process, I messed up her shoes, but I'll go back to work on that again later.

Hours 13-15:
I fixed the scratches. The area doesn't look as nice as the rest, but it's not very visible, so I guess it will have to do.  I put some more time in on the armor, smoothing out the blends.  It can probably use some spot highlights now, but I'll get to that later.  I added some color to her face, painted her hair, and began her shoes, staff, and the base.

Hour 9-12:
I spent 2 1/2 hours just smoothing out the blends on the skirt and scarf.
Then I put her together.  Some of the paint got scratched, and I'll have to fix that.  I also had to use some green stuff to fill gaps in the waist joint, so that will have to be painted as well.

The angle of this photo gives you a better view of the base:

Hour 8: shade/highlight scarf
Green base: gray/blue/yellow/white
Highlight: Elf Flesh/white
Shade: blue/red/black

Hour 7: shade/highlight skirt, basecoat scarf
Red base: red/gray/black
Highlight: red/yellow/white
Shade: red/blue/black

Hours 5-6: add depth to skin tones, base coat skirt

Hour 4: basecoat skin, start on eyes (always a challenge)

Hours 2-3: green skirt linking and belt
Green base: blue/yellow/gray
Highlight: white/yellow/red
Shade: blue/red/black

Hour 1: Gold NMM for "armor"

I have to paint her in two pieces, then glue them together.  Otherwise, I couldn't reach the back of her skirt with my paintbrush.
